White noise can be used to cover background noise and provide protection against bugs, wiretaps, and eavesdroppers. Play this white noise when you’re talking and don’t want to be overheard.

White noise has a spectral frequency of 1. Equal proportions of all frequencies are present. Because our ears are sensitive to high frequencies, white noise sounds very "hissy".
