The Color of the Universe

Cosmic Latte, the color of the universe

The color of the universe as described by Karl Glazebrook and Ivan Baldry in "2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey" is #FFF8E7. This is equivalent to 255, 248, 231 in RGB, 1 2 9 0 in CMYK, or 43 10 100 in HSB.

The color of the universe is sometimes called Cosmic Latte.

Glazebrook and Baldry's web site has more details than you ever wanted to know. There's a web site for the original 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey. Wikipedia also has a great article on this.

Does this mean that geek grrls should wear this shade of nailpolish and lipstick? Would geek boyz notice?
