The standarding tuning note is A440. Many people tune their musical instruments using the A above middle C. This is the standardized pitch at 440 Hz. Sometimes called the concert pitch, A440 is described as A = 440 Hz.
Whatever you call it, it's still the "standardized pitch" to me. Use the files to tune your instruement, as a reference file, or to mix, scratch, or mash. Your choice.
