Dark Women, White Children highlights a racial, class, sexual dynamic evident in the Upper West Side of New York City, as it is so many places around the world.

These are not parents and their children but employees and their young charges. Nannies and au pairs. Servants of the rich.

Nothing new and nothing that isn't obvious. It just struck me while staying in this particular neighborhood Summer 2002. Me and my camera.
