fifo

first in, first out

Another term for FCFS (first come, first served), FIFO (first in first out) refers list processing and data storage. FIFO is what polite people do when standing in line (queueing). You get in line first you leave the line first.

Examples of a FIFO stack in real life include:
  voicemail
  toll booth
first class passengers on an airplane (bummer if you aren't one of them)
light weight drinkers at happy hour
that endless line outside the women's room at popular public events
meat, poultry, & fish in grocery store shelf (you hope)
alimentary canal (proof: corn on the cob)

It all sounds a little to deterministic for my taste.
