Misc. Binaural Beat MP3 Files

These binaural beat MP3 files are more complex than the fixed pitch or sliding files. They include either a pattern or mix of different frequencies. Think of them as a chord instead of a single note, curry instead of just one spice.

Some of these files are older than the single frequency fixed pitch binaural files. The descriptions are culled from the notes I made when I created the files. I apologize for not keeping better records.

Save it to your hard drive, put it on your iPod/iPhone/G1 or MP3 player, burn it onto a CD, or listen to it on your computer. Remember you must listen to these files using headphones in order for them to work.

Set aside a regular time each day and find a quiet place to sit. Relax, focus on your breathing, and use these modest MP3 files as a tool. Establish the habit. It's a small investment with large rewards.

Nada Brahma Schumann Resonance My notes read:

  10 minutes based on Nada Brahma (Sadja)
  136.1 Hz C#

  left: 136.1 -> 132.19 Hz
  right: 136.1 -> 140.02 Hz

  1 minute fade in, 1 minute fade out

Schumann Slide My notes read:

  our goal is to funnel day-to-day beta waves (19.7 Hz) into alpha (7.83 Hz)

  19.7 and 7.82 Hz are Schumann Resonances

  given a 440 Hz base frequency:
  slide 1 4 minute (24000 ms)
  sine 1 left 459.7 Hz /447.83 Hz
  sine 1 right 440 Hz/440 Hz

  slide 2 6 minute (36000 ms)
  sine 1 left 447.83 Hz
  sine 1 right 440 Hz/440 Hz

  the slide:
    after a 5 second lead in, the first third takes you from beta to alpha and the last third hovers at a 7.83 binaural beat.

  a minute fade in, a minute fade out.

Schumann Slide Kung is 20 minutes long. Be forewarned that this is a 18 meg file.

A3E3A2 is a compound sound and is described here (PDF). Actually it's more like notation than a narrative description.

Unless otherwise specified all binaural beat files are centered around a 136.1 Hz sine wave. This tone is called "Nada Brahma", the sound associated with Om.

I also made some meditation timers, both audio and video files of varying length. Time yourself from 10 to 30 minutes in 5 minute intervals. No binaural beats, just a single bell at the end of silence.
