konami code

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← →

The Konami code is a cheat code found in lots of video games beginning with Konami games like Gradius and Contra. It’s also called the “Contra Code”, “Konami Command”, or “30 Lives Code”.

The Konami code is in Batman Returns (SNES), DDR (various versions), Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Mortal Kombat 3, Quake 4, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and dozens of other games, websites, gadgets, and hacks. The list is huge.

Wat is the Konami Code? up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-B-A or sometimes up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, enter. In some games it’s start instead of enter. There are lots of variations.

On the PS2 try Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle, Start. When in doubt try using the Konami code backwards: A-B-right-left-right-left-down-down-up-up-enter. On cell phones “573” replaces “BA”.

When you’re in Facebook type:  ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A [enter] and get a a lens flare effect going on. You can't be in a text box when you enter the Konami Code.
