There are hundreds of sites about food and cooking. Everybody likes to eat and blogging about cooking is a no brainer. In fact, this is yet-another-website-about-food.
I happy to suggest other websites about cooking and eating in this list of food links. Feedback and suggestions heartily encouraged: JetCityOrange at google dotCom
At first glance this seemed to be too odd to be true. No, it's real. Or as real as fancy fast food can be.
Allrecipes.com has a whole section on healthy cooking. I appreciate their section on tofu, one of my long time favorite foods, and the ability to create custom cookbooks, softcover or hardcover. A variation on the ever popular personalized photo books.
Now fess up, like me, you're an armchair chef. Food Network, Travel Channel, PBS, you name it, they cook it, you wathc it. High on my list is the one and only Anthony Bourdain No Reservations. What comes out of his mouth is as good as what he puts in it. The attitude, it's all about his attitude. Next up is my boy Alton Brown Good Eats. Nothing like a little "why" along with your "what" and "how". Nerd cooking at its best. Cerebral cuisine, geek gourmet. Works for me.
Sub rosa is a.) a figment of Mike Sherwood's twisted mind b.) a virtual restaurant available only online c.) an Oregon microdistillery d.) all of the above and more. Featuring food, wit, music, and the obscure. The about page may leave you more confused than before but like this site there's tons of stuff tucked away which makes exploring, meandering, and bookmarking mandatory.
And for the nerdy of you in the kitchen, check out molecular gastronomy. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!
Eat and enjoy!
