Each WAV or MP3 is 10 seconds long at the specified frequency. The frequency of each file is 4000 Hz higher than the previous one. Dogs lose their hearing as they age just like people do. Test each of the sounds with your dog(s) to see which one(s) works better. Remember: the higher the number in the name, the higher the dog whistle's frequency.

Your computer speaker probably won’t reproduce these high pitched sounds accurately. My suggestion is to download them onto your computer and burn a CD. Or simply play them through better speakers than your computer’s.

Dog whistles are also called Galton's whistles after Francis Galton who invented them. Galton was Darwin’s half cousin and coined the phras “nature versus nurture”. So blame him, not someone else.
