Barcode T-shirts
As barcodes have become symbols of commoditized, computerized, modern life, they've crept into pop culture. Things like tattos, graffiti, and t-shirts. Yep, bar code tshirts. Some sport an anti-consumer bent, others want to "fight The Man", others are just plain hip. Most don't understand much about bar codes other than they're further evidence of the dehumanization of the individual in the face of The Machine. We've all been reduced to a machine-readable number.
Anyone can slap a barcode on a t-shirt. (try generic girl, generic boy, or cheerleader) Simple and to the point is something like person or big brother (even if they are a bit cliched). I won't even mention the numerous ones about "priceless" or "scan me". Of course there's always big brother This is the only clever one in the bunch.

Of all the barcode t-shirts I've seen, this one grabs me because of the use of reflective material. It reminds me of varnish on black ink, something I've never had a chance to use on a print job.
Barcode tees tend to be political if nothing else. This shirt is no different: Guantanamo Bay Barcode T-Shirt. And by political I mean, progressive and left of center. While more straight ahead, I really like this one too.
