ISBN-13 bar codes

ISBN-13 barcodes are found on book covers. ISBN-13 bar codes are based on a book's ISBN number.

ISBN-13 bar codes are usually printed on the back cover but are sometimes found on the inside cover. ISBN13 bar codes encode the ISBN number and retail price. ISBN-13 barcodes replaced Bookland bar codes as of January 1, 2007.

The ISBN numbers being assigned now are 13-digits long. This means that the whole book numbering system in GTIN-compliant.
