I've been doing barcodes for years and every so often I hear from some Christian whacko out to save my soul cuz somehow they figure I'm doing the Devil's work. Here's one such exchange I had with someone:You are misleading people about barcodes. You lack the imagination to see it happening, because a big argument against it is that you say that barcodes are on products and not people. That is true right now, but what happens when the Real ID Act comes into play, the National Health Care database, a terrorist action that has people panicked about identifying who is coming and going in our country, an economic collapse that makes the dollar worthless, a Flu virus pandameic that has people scared to death and a government that will fix all of their ills, if they would just be included in the database. A hungry, scared populace will do anything to save their families and put food on the table.
Enter in the barcode tattoo, lidocane on the hand to make it painless and applied with UV blacklight ink to make it invisible to the naked eye. You can be all technical and say the computer does not read the Guards as 6's, but it is very interesting to me that the early UPC codes had the guards lower the the rest, and the only right parity number that has a 1 unit bar, 1 unit width, 1 unit bar coding is the 6. To the human eye, which is what we are, we are not computers, there clearly is a 6-6-6 in the code.
Stop lieing to the people. Why won't you get a UPC code tattoo? Ever wonder why you are fascinated with them and have pictures on your website?

It doesn't matter if you have been in it for 50 years. You can wish all you want for down to be up, but gravity will work its magic regardless of how you think.
BTW, you don't dispute anything I said. UPC barcodes ARE for products, but they can just as easily identify anything you want. Corporate code/ product could easily be Country/ Citizen. Did you know a man named Thomas W. Heeter has a patent just filed in 1999 to exactly that affect. http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/5878155/description.html
