The 728 Club

The 728 Club is a group of 4 guys in Seattle who play poker 11 months a year and hike in July/August. Over the last 21 years we've cover large swathes of Mt. Rainier including doing the Wonderland Trail in sections.

Not only have we been doing this trip for many, many moons but there's a body of traditions, rituals, and conventions that have grown over the years. Back country permits, GPS units, ultralight gear, gourmet meals on the trail, Happy Hour, and card games in the tent. And the stories. Oh, the stories...
