I just started a double batch of Sea-Monkeys®. Sea Monkeys are a type of brine shrimp grown by young and old as pets. A Sea Monkey is really Artemia salina or Artemia nyos, a hybrid brine shrimp.

Sea Monkeys are the creation of Harold von Braunhut. Believe it or not, Sea-Monkeys are actually covered by U.S. Patent 3,673,986 granted in 1972.

Sea-Monkeys enjoy a 2 year lifespan and grow to be 1/4" to 1/2". Did you know that John Glenn took Sea-Monkeys into space in 1998? Yep.
