#OccupyWallStreet
Time Person of the Year, the protester

I always wear a baseball cap. If you see me videotaping arrests at #OccupySeattle, teaching a workshop on computer security for my #Occupy sisters & brothers, providing logistical support, or paying my respects when visiting #OccupyCleveland, I’m always wearing my Lhasa Beer cap. So it’s fitting (and an in-joke) that Ben used it for the Time cover.
The OccupyWallStreet protests are global by default. What’s broken on Wall Street is broken in Miami, Minneapolis, and Manila. The 1% has oppressed, cheated, and stolen from the 99% far too long.
#OccupyWallStreet is a teardown, not a remodel. This isn’t a reform movement, there’s no law that can be passed to pacify us. This is a new game.
There’s no list of demands. There shouldn’t be at this stage. It’s about the process.
Think about it: this is an inclusive movement. That’s why it’s growing and crosses so many lines.
Carolyn Adolph at KUOW FM interviewed me about my participation in OccupySeattle. I’m proud to participate in OccupySeattle. Given my radical past, no one should be surprised.
