Tattoos on Buddhists (& non-Buddhists alike)

Why a Buddhist-inspired tat? Are you practicing Buddhist? Do you sit?
I don't call myself a Buddhist, it's a limited and limiting label, but I am grateful for and owe a great debt to Buddhist teaching. I used to sit meditation fairly regularly but don't anymore; if I practice, it's just a moderately consistent effort to stay in the here and now and understand the ego-urge behind most human thought and action. This is my second tat; each of them I got with my two kids in celebration first of a landmark birthday and then a college graduation.
