Why a Buddhist-inspired tat?
My mother is Thai and a practicing Buddhist. I got the tattoo (my first) to connect more with my Thai heritage and Buddhism. My grandfather was covered in traditional Thai tattoos, which are believed to protect the wearer from harm. One day I hope to have some of his tattoos. Are you practicing Buddhist?
I am a practicing Buddhist. I strive for compassion in my life, but I don't meditate or visit the temple very often. Just recently I've taken up vegetarianism, too.Have others commented on your skin art?
The tattoo is pretty simple, and is open to a lot of interpretation. So, I get to explain my meaning for it. But, most of the time it's covered up by my shirt sleeve, so it's not really obvious anyways.Patrick
